oh oh i do not hook up up!

• Am in The City with my parents for a few days. I love hanging out with them... they're hilarious. This morning when I went in to say Happy Birthday to my Dad he said that he wanted to be a fire engine driver when he grew up. Bless. One good thing about living in G-town is that I really value the time I spend with them now.
• My Granny is also completely adorable. She is heading off on a cruise today to parts of Thailand and Singapore. It makes a day long stop in G-town on the way back so I've arranged to meet her at the boat and 'host' her in town for the day. Now I just need to think of things to do with her!
• Had to come into our office in The City for the morning because of a mediation, but after that I'm off to the farm! I'm totally stoked about it - tramping about in green paddocks in gumboots with the puppy... hellz yeah! I will also get to see the new farmhouse which is apparently coming along nicely.
• I am 15 hours into my 24 hours worth of driving this week. Yesterday I got to drive BC's new monaro... powerful and a bit scary but surprisingly easy to drive. I love the cruise control! So good for the country drive. I'm wishing my car had it... but my car also cost $35,000 LESS than her's.
• I lost a tiny bit of weight over the last few weeks thanks to actually being able to go to the gym for a while. I bet I put it all back on and then some this week though... ten gazillion roadhouse meals will do that to you. Eww. I swear that every hour I spend sitting in the car I can feel my arse expanding. Which is unfortunate because I've just ordered new skinny leg jeans online. I'm hoping they will arrive by next Friday, but that seems to be overly hopeful!
• I'm really looking forward to camping next weekend. I'm going with BC, her new GF, and her housemate to watch a friend play polocrosse in the middle of station country. This part of the world is so remote that it boasts the title of "only shire without a town". 250 country types descend upon polo fields... should be fun! I'm just hoping I don't get abandoned while everyone hooks up around me :P
• Speaking of which, I am obsessed with Kelly Clarkson's "I Do Not Hook Up". All of you music snobs can go ahead and snigger now...
